Aqua-Mist Fire protection have commenced works with a high value order to one of Covent gardens most prestigious buildings. The grade II listed building, when complete will be home to one of the worlds most well known technology brands, comprising of both office's and housing the client largest retail store in both the UK and Europe.

The project shall be handed over to the client in phases with the offices coming online first and the retail space to follow.
Much of the fire protection pipework to the retail areas will be exposed and as such shall form part of the architectural appearance of the space.
Aqua-Mists work on this project started over a year before the works began at site, acting in a consultancy capacity, working with the client and design team to ensure system approval whilst maintaining the client highest design standards and aesthetic appearance's.

Aqua-Mist Fire Protection have most recently been awarded a high value contract to install their renowned LP2000 low pressure water mist system to protect all parts of this new build high school. The new school is being built adjacnet to the exisiting school and once complete will allow a seamless transision to the new building for staff and pupils alike.

This school is the third BSF (Build Schools for Future programme) School that has been secured by Aqua-Mist Fire Protection and of the three is the largest. The school is situated over 3 levels and 3 distinct blocks. Aqua-Mist's directly employed engineers commenced work at the site in October 2009 and shall work through to early 2010 to ensure completion of the project.
The award of this project demonstrates the presence of Aqua-Mist Fire Protection within the Educational sector and with their involvment in many more projects firmly underway many more schools are soon to be added to the Aqua-Mist project portfolio.

Aqua-Mist Fire Protection were awarded a fast track high value order to install their LP2000 Low Pressure Water Mist System to the new Doubletree Brand Hilton Hotel at the Denbigh Stadium, Milton Keynes.
Situated at the front of the west stand, the new stadium hotel features 127 contemporary, well-appointed Guest Rooms and Suites. There are even several unique, pitch-facing rooms. During match days and major events groups can enjoy these rooms as executive hospitality suites with direct access from balconies to pitch facing seating.
The Project was completed within a 3 month period from order to handover, all areas of the hotel were protected including the large conference hall, bedrooms, corridors, bars, restaurants, pre-function areas, meeting rooms and BOH offices.
With the completion of this project it brings the number of Hilton hotels added to the Aqua-mist portfolio to 3, with a number of future projects under discussion.

Aqua-Mist Fire Protection have recently been awarded a high value contract to install their renowned LP2000 Low Pressure Water Mist System to the re-development of the Grand Pier at West Super Mare.
The pier was gutted by fire in July 2008 and works to bring this historic tourist attraction back to its former glory are now well underway.
The new pier building which is situated a 1/4 of a mile out at sea will comprise shops, bars, rides, attractions and a new observation tower.

Aqua-Mist fire protection shall protect all parts of the new pier building, with installation works to commence on site late 2009 with the site complete and ready for business June 2010.
This fast track build coupled with the constraints of the site itself obviously present their own inherent obstacles to overcome. However through the tender process Aqua-Mist Fire Protection were able to demonstrate their capabilities and were selected on the merits of the renowned LP2000 low pressure water mist system and the various complex projects completed to date.
The inclusion of this prestigious project in the Aqua-Mist portfolio clearly shows to the wider fire protection industry that they are the first and only point of call for Low Pressure Water Mist Fire Protection.

A Luxury 177 bed, 12 storey hotel is currently being constructed just a few meters away from Waterloo Road Tube/Train Station. Aqua-Mist Fire Protection have been awarded a high value contract to design supply install commission and maintain their LP2000 Low Pressure Water Mist System to all areas of the development. Part of the high value order includes the instalaltion of a dry riser to all 12 levels above ground and the 2 no. basements.
The development shall comprise of 177 double rooms, suites, a restaurant, piano Bar, and business Corner.

The design and the approval of the LP2000 water mist system was subject to approval from HM government local building inspector, a private building inspector and as the building falls within the remit of the London Fire Brigade 'Section 20 act', approval was required from the London Fire Brigades technical department.
At the conclusion of the approval process and as a testament to the technical ability of the people at Aqua-Mist Fire Protection the necessary approvals were gained from all parties.
This yet again demonstrating to the fire protection and the wider construction industry that Aqua-Mist's LP2000 Low Pressure Water Mist System is the only proven choice in the Low Pressure Water Mist fire protection market.

The luxury re-development of the former Gillette Production site is well underway and Aqua-Mist Fire Protection have been awarded a high value contract for the installation of their LP2000 Low Pressure Water Mist Fire Protection System to the new 505 bedroom 4 star hotel development.
Aqua-Mist were selected by the client after careful consideration was given, In particular the client was impressed with the portfolio of projects completed in the hotel sector by Aqua-Mist Fire Protection.

In addition to the impressive portfolio of projects completed was the aesthetic quality that could be offered with Aqua-Mist's varrying types of water mist nozzle options.
Works are in progress at the site and Aqua-Mist are due to handover the first phase of rooms to the client during the forthcoming months.
"The extensive refurbishment of the 1930s site, as well as new construction in the business park, will drive economic and environmental regeneration of the area. The hotel and business complex is expected to bring the equivalent of over 2,200 full-time jobs to the area and the project will also deliver substantial improvements to local public transport. The building restoration and development has also been designed to meet the city Mayoral targets, which require new developments to cut their carbon emissions by sourcing 20% of energy through onsite renewable sources. The design includes motion-sensitive and low-energy lighting throughout. The building 1930s design presented very specific challenges when designing the hotel 505 bedrooms, conference rooms, swimming pool and health centre. While the historic front building contains four floors with very high ceilings, the newly built rear will house five floors and reconciling these was one of the design most complicated aspects"

The Building is linked to the new T5 terminal via a link and is situated over 7 stories 3 being under car parks. Aqua-Mist were proud to have been appointed by Crown House Technologies & Laing O'Rourke to provide their system on a hotel that covers over 1 million sq feet.
Now open the Sofitel hotel is one of the biggest hotels in Britain and the largest Hotel at an Airport Campus. The Project was completed in June 2008.

Aqua-Mist Fire protection continues their close working partnership with Young's Frozen and their affiliate companies.
Works are nearing their conclusion to provide the award winning LP2000 water mist fire protection system to the Findus Foods site at Boulogne France. Upon completion this shall be the 4th site in the Youngs portfolio of production sites, that now benifits from the peace of mind of having fire protection provided by Aqua-Mist Fire Protections LP2000 water mist sytem.
The system has been fitted into existing Building, which consists of structures surrounding fryers as at the Grimsby food process plants (Wickham Road & Humberstone Road).
Despite the obvious problems presented when managing works on mainland Europe and language complications, the actual execution of the works concluded very smoothly. The installation team completed their works in less than 4 weeks and the commissioning team finalised the installation within 1 day at the site.

2 for 2! Aqua-Mist Fire protection have been successful
in the award of the new Leigh Primary Pilot School. This primary school is the sister school to the new Abraham Guest Pathfinders Secondary school, which also has been awarded to Aqua-Mist.

The new primary school is located in Leigh and has been designed by the same design team as the Abraham Guest, hence many design features are shared amongst the two sites.
Not least the inclusion of Aqua-Mist's LP2000 low pressure water mist system, which provides fire protection to all areas of the school. Again off site manufacture has been utilised on this project to provide a 'just in time' delivery of the pre-fabricated plant equipment. AMFP engineers have recently commenced their operations at the site and works are progressing well.
With the award of Leigh Primary Pilot School, Aqua-Mist Fire Protection are fast building a healthy portfolio of School projects, to add to their unrivalled reference list in other sectors of the market.
The inclusion of the Aqua-Mist LP2000 Low Pressure Water Mist System to the education sector is something that has taken period of time and effort to achieve . However AMF are now involved in numerous School's project in the early design stages and look forward to providing their superior fire protection technology to many more buildings within the education sector.
